The First Innovation Journalism Forum is Launched in Latin America
NXTP Labs in collaboration with ARCAP (Argentine Association of Private Equity, Venture, and Seed Capital) announces the launch of the first Innovation Journalism Forum (Foro PI) which will take place on September 5th and 6th in Buenos Aires.
Foro PI will allow journalists in the region to gain knowledge over concepts of seed capital, investment, venture rounds, and digital business models.
Backed by the United States Embassy in Argentina and by the MIF (Multilateral Investment Fund), it also aims to extend how journalists view the landscape of local and regional innovative ecosystems, among other topics.
“We believe that this journalism forum, unseen in Latin America, opens a necessary space in the region in order to provide communications professionals the tools to cover topics of entrepreneurship, innovation, and investment with precision” stated Marta Cruz, co-founder of NXTP Labs and President of ARCAP (Argentine Association of Private Equity, Venture, and Seed Capital)
Foro PI will be divided in two days. On September 5th, the first day, the event will focus on media innovation (media trends, monetization, ad blocking, metrics, applied virtual reality, artificial intelligence). The second day, September 6th, will be dedicated to digital business (entrepreneurship, innovation ecosystems, investment, entrepreneurial capital, and capital raising)
Some of the speakers at the event include Jonathan Shieber (senior editor of TechCrunch), Marta Cruz (NXTP Labs / ARCAP), Hernán Kazah (Kaszek Ventures), Juan Manuel Lucero (Google News Labs), Juan Melano (Croma.io), Sebastián Stranieri (VU Security), Pablo Verdenelli (Welo.tv), and Carlos Mastronardi (Xpand Ventures).
